Bechem Chelsea determined to make inroads

The Communications Director of Bechem Chelsea Football Club, Mr Vincent Coffie on Thursday said that appropriate measures have been put up to ensure the ambitions of the Club are achieved during the up coming Premier League.
Mr Coffie said that strategies and plans have been developed to ensure that no club becomes a threat to the team as its desire is to make a mark and ensure its survival in the premiership.
He told the GNA Sports in Sunyani that even though this was the Club’s first appearance in the Premier division, it has a crop of well determined, committed, dedicated and loyal players who could lead the club to achieve the needed success.
He explained that the Club has reduced its numerical strength to 16 solid, strong and dedicated players whilst it was also considering taking back its players who were loaned out to All Blacks and Wa All Stars to beef up the squad to form a formidable team to win laurels.
“With adequate preparations, the team is definitely going to make positive and useful impact in the Premier League”, Mr Coffie said.
He emphasised that Bechem Chelsea belonged to the people of the entire Brong-Ahafo Region and appealed to the citizens, stakeholders and corporate organisations in the Region to offer both material and financial support towards the development of the Club.
The Communications Director assured of the team’s readiness and preparedness to support other clubs in the Division One to qualify to the Premier League.
Mr Coffie called on the Clubs to bury their differences, especially with misunderstandings which occurred during the Zone One and Middle League encounters and lend their support to Chelsea to enable it make meaningful impact in the Premier League.
The Communications Director explained that the controversy concerning the club’s name came about because the Club was formed at Berekum and so it was named after the town.
“When the Club was later moved to Bechem, its name was changed to Bechem Chelsea” in conformity with its home base.
Mr Coffie said that preparations were underway in developing a football park at Bechem to serve as the team’s home ground.
